Mikel Irízar – CEO
Over 20 years of global experience in executive roles for both large technology companies like Symantec and Silicon Graphics, and successful start-ups like NTRglobal, SofcloudIT and Scytl. He leads Hydromodel Host global expansion. Mikel holds a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from San Jose State University.
Francisco Batlle – President
Co-founder of Hydromodel Host, holds a Doctorate degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and an MBA from ESADE. He has been a researcher at the UPC and CSIC, a civil engineer at INYPSA and as aEU expert, a computational engineer at McDonnell Douglas and FCC and an entrepreneur founding and leading T-Soft and EcoExpert through successful exits.
Xavier Almolda – CTO
Co-founder of Hydromodel Host, brings more than 15 years of experience in senior software development roles for technology companies like TSS, and T-Systems. Xavier has a strong background on computer graphics development, GIS concepts and spatial data management, and holds a BS Computer Engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia
Jesús Carrera
Co-founder of Hydromodel Host, is “Research Professor” at the “IDAEA” Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (CSIC, Spanish Council for Scientific Research). He works on groundwater modeling with emphasis on the inverse problem, reactive transport and the effects of heterogeneity. He has been Dean of Civil Engineering and Vice President for Research of the UPC.
Francisco Javier Elorza
Co-founder of Hydromodel, obtained his Doctoral degree in Mining Engineering at in 1985. Professor of Hydrogeology in the Dept. of Geological Engineering of UPM. He was Seconded National Expert in the Environmental Institute of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in Ispra (Italy). He has participated in numerous scientific national and international comities (MEC, CICYT, ANEP, EU, CNRS).
Jorge Jódar
Co-founder of Hydromodel, holds a BSc in Physics (Univ. Barcelona) and a PhD in Hydrology (Tech. Univ. Catalonia). Since 1998 he has participated in several research projects including multiphase flow and gas transport in fractures, geostatistics, recharge evaluation, and climate change. He has developed his professional career in several consulting companies.
